01/23/20 – How to be a better leader
Being a leader is hard – there’s no doubt about it. Whether it’s the project development, the deadlines, having to deal with team dynamics, or just interacting with your direct reports when ‘life’ is happening to them; there’s a lot you have to deal with. Sadly, few of us ever get an effective guide for how to be a true leader. Instead, we get piled high with policy manuals, project specifications, and a to-do list that never seems to end.
At the end of the day, you know you could be a better leader, but it’s hard to know where to start and how to go about becoming the best leader possible. In this session, we will identify the behaviors, feelings, and thoughts that hold you back from becoming the best possible leader. Then we’ll create a clear plan for you to move forward.
If you are ready to approach leadership a little differently and to dive into creating change, then you will learn a tool that will help you to step up into your most powerful leadership.
Expect to be asked hard questions as we guide ourselves to meaningful answers. You’ll also connect with others in the room, learn a lot about how you work as a leader and walk away with meaningful action items to create change.

Notes:
This session is held at Venture Cafe St. Louis’ weekly Thursday Gathering. There will be a LOT of people and other sessions happening. Get there a little early, go upstairs, check-in at a kiosk to get a nametag printed, grab a (free!) beverage, and make your way to the second floor’s corner room (called the ‘Hattie North’ room). We’ll start promptly at 6pm.
